Al Haramain was RAILWAY PROJECT: MECCA MEDINA HIGH VELOCITY TRAIN

Project Al Haramain high speed rail project is now under construction in Saudi Arabia. It is over 450 kilometers projects that connect the Holy City of Mecca and Medina. They are built for easy moving when Muslims perform the Hajj and Umrah. Besides stopping in Mecca and Medina, the high speed train will stop in Jeddah and Rabigh. The construction cost is estimated to reach USD 10.7 billion (RM 33.4 Billion). 46 Spanish train Talgo 350 products will be used and it will operate on kelajaun 360 kilometers per hour. Estimated 3 million passengers will board the Al Haramain railway system every year. Construction is expected to be completed in 2014.
